A lot of tutorial creators seem to forget something very important when you are making a mod. You want others to play and enjoy your mod. To make that possible there are several things you need to do.
The first thing is that you need to make sure that there are no errors in your mods and that all the files you need for it to work are there. After that you need to do this:
- run recompile.cmd
This file will compile your source code into normal minecraft code that the game uses to play.
- run reobfuscate.cmd
This file will organize your files. It will take out any files that are not from the original Minecraft source code. All the files that get taken out are placed into the reobf folder. These files are ready to be thrown into your Minecraft and start playing.
The only thing there is left to do is to add them into a .zip file and you can release your mod.
When you are done you should go back to the tutorials list here.
Hey, very nice Tut´s, but i have problems with releasing my mod. After i reobfuscate there is in the "reobf" folder one called "minecraft" in this are A "Tutorial" folder and a "aig.class" in the "tutorial" folder are 2 more folders "client" and "common" in the Folder "client" is a "ClientProxyTutorial.class" and in "common" are "BlockOres.class", "Toturial.class" and so one.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI Dont know what i have to put in the Zipfile, and where is the Texture.png ?
Again great Tut´s but sometimes it is hart to understand like "that all the files you need for it to work are there" but where ? =)
anyway hope its not to long, you can understand, and maybe its just cause iam bad in english =) cheers
You need to get the whole map and if you have changed a core class and you want to keep the change you made in there (so it is not by accident) you will also have to add the aig.class
VerwijderenThe texture files are not extracted like that. You will have to add them to the same .zip file by hand.

VerwijderenI know now what files i need. It works when i put the minecraft folder (reobf(texture.png goes also in the minecraft folder))
Verwijderenin the mods folder from .../.minecraft/mods
but when i put all this what is in the minecraft folder (from reobf) testmod.zip - tutorial(folder) - aig.class - texture.png Minecraft crashes when i start it.
You know why ?
